I do think we did well. There was a bit of confusion on the format however. According to the site, each band would play 3 set pieces with a 10 minute limit, then once all the bands had played, each band would be brought back, do an encore, then people would vote for that band. I had asked the person that was coordinating us just before going on if there had been a change in format, and he confirmed that each band would be brought back for an encore. So when we ended our set, even though there were calls for an encore, I said they would just have to wait a little bit longer to hear more. He later apologized to me about the mixup, but there wasn't much to be done about it at that point.
As for playing regularly, I'd like to see us do at least one piece at each Ales and Tales (not including this monday's, we need a vacation

) We certainly wouldn't need to be doing big 8 part pieces though.

I'd say do solos, duos, trios and quartets, with some doubling up on parts if we have enough there. However, someone that can actually hear well will be needing to pick the pieces.
I do have some sheet music here, and if I could find a good site that explains the ABC notational format, I could see about setting up some stuff. Though I'm not sure how much culturally relevant music I have on hand...

My biggest music book.... hits of 1983.

I also some Rush, which is always timeless.
