| Our Companion Kinship, the Numenorian Guard, is up and running! For those seeking a pure Raiding or Endgame experience, members of SoN have membership privileges with Numenorian Gard (NG.) NG is a dedicated group of people from SoN whose play style is focused on the precision and pursuit of the Endgame within LOTRO. They do have specific rules for their membership which differ from our super casual approach in SoN. You can have Alts or your Main in NG, and continue to enjoy all the benefits of Sons of Numenor. We consider NG to simply be part of our one big family! Join the cross-Kinship chat channel: SoN.NG and also SoN.Raiders to catch-up with Malgore and our other friends! Visit the Numenorian Guard Website!

| The Numenorian Guard is now recruiting. We are not a hard core raiding kin. We are a raiding kin that wants to do all of the end game instances, from Shadows of Angmar to Mirkwood, and have fun doing them. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to ask. For kin invites please contact either Dyrre, Linzie, Gilewen or myself. - Malgore, Leader, Numenorian Guard Numenorian Guard will keep a website of its own for obvious organizational needs. The link will be forthcoming next week. -Benjimir

| I am pleased to roll-out a new and powerful Community system at our website. This will become our new login and registration system here at the website. Not all features are going live at the same time. But over the coming week or two, you will be able to connect your Facebook, Twitter, and other social media to your accounts here. You will have new ways to share video, pictures, and more. Form groups and clubs within Sons of Numenor using this system, and simply get more out of our Kinship with the best guild web site out there! You will have to update your avatars unfortunately, but it is a small price to pay!

| A hardy welcome to our many new members! Lets look forward to the summer with a keen eye on enjoying and spreading the RP fun about Middle-earth. Drop by our RP section, share some thoughts on what kind of fun and adventure you are looking to have. Remember, with SoN, here at the website, we often take a business approach. We figure what we want, chat about, develop ideas, and then roll them out. So if your looking for heavy RP, let us all know it. Light RP? The same. Likewise, we want to work to make RP accessable to newer players, who want too, but haven't much experience. Welcome to the family!

| We are moving forward with the formation of the Numenorian Guard (NG,) an Endgame focused group. For this group, the process is beginning towards the recruitment of pure-bred leadership, able to enjoy and sustain a "raiding" guild. The purpose for this move is simple. Although purely casual endgame does and will continue to happen within SoN, we would gain by having a "hardcore" counterpart, which was at once stand-alone, yet a part of our extended family. Those wishing to put a level capped Alt in NG could do so, those in NG wishing to "vacation" from the grind, would be able to send a character to SoN. Ideally, this new group would as part of their operation, help SoN members gain access to the highest of Endgame but sponsoring a few events with us, helping our more casual members as their time allows, etc. Trying to do this under one Kinship is simply not workable, as our group presently is setup. The kind of rules, mandates, penalties, and general feel of a true raiding group doesn't mix well with what is a truly casual group in SoN. Likewise, moving into mid-2011, Sons of Numenor will also have a Guild in Star Wars: The Old Republic. This setup we are going to pursue will work well for that game. What are we going to do with Star Wars: The Old Republic? First, SoN - LOTRO is and will remain the "mother ship." Yet so many of our membership have an interest in ToR, including myself, that for some of us, being able to "stay in the family" with both games is highly appealing. There will be a separate website (already in an advance state of construction,) calender, etc. We will benifit here because recruiting in ToR will promote the fact that those players can come here and enjoy LOTRO with us. Above all else, none here should be let this long-term development worry them. We'll always be here. This is simply a means for some of us to enjoy both worlds. Experience suggests being able to escape to ToR will actually refresh and recharge members and help prevent burn-out.
