| Every Kinship has a beginning. In most cases, those beginnings have their roots in an existing Kinship. A person has an idea, different from what he or she knows, and that leads to that person venturing out to create a group of their own making. Sons of Numenor was founded out of such a design over a year ago. The result has been the growth of a thriving, stable, and friendly gathering of LOTRO of high reputation on Landroval.

| Ten Ton Hammer named Siege of Mirkwood to be the best expansion of 2009. "Excellence in an expansion can be measured by its innovation, attention to player requests and implementation. It's almost universally true that expansions incorporate new systems or new content of some sort apart from just adding new playfields. . . . what makes this expansion the top on our list of 2009 is the upgrade to the combat system and the Skirmishes. . . . Turbine continues to deliver on their commitment to their games. LotRO is no exception as its story telling is among the best"

| LOTRO.com Hall of Famer, Landroval Legend, and Honored member of Sons of Numenor, Briarflower, gathered many fans and friends during her "long walk." It is always a great thread to revisit. For those who may have not known of her deed, Briarflower moved at Walk speed, from the Shire, through virtually all of LOTRO, taking screen shots as she went, and telling her storying online. She was new come to Sons of Numenor as she completed her long trek. She earned Hall of Fame status for her adventure, and is a great example of how one can enjoy LOTRO in different ways! Visit her adventure at LOTRO.com!
